SOCIAL CAMPAIGN: PRINT
Client: AT&T “It Can Wait” Campaign
Nearly 9 in 10 people admit to using their smartphones behind the wheel. And nearly a quarter of them don’t see it as a problem. AT&T released an app that silences your phone when you’re driving, letting your contacts know you can’t get to your phone.

Brief
Social Campaign project at Shillington Education. We were asked to create a brand campaign around a social issue that means a lot to us.
Challenge
This social campaign raises awareness around the dangers of texting while driving. How can we get our audience to look away from the screen they stare at every day?
Solution
When you are driving, you are going from point A to point B. When you are texting, you are also hoping your message reaches to point B. But when you combine both of these, neither of them will make it to their destination. My approach with this project was to keep it simple: recreate the phone screen and change the conversation. There is an unnecessary sense of urgency when replying back to a message; this is where the slogan was born: Be alive to tell them the news.
